Natural hair: LOC method.

The L.O.C method, which stands for Liquid, oil and cream method, is a technique for moisturising hair. It consist of providing the hair with moisture with water or a water-based product which is your Liquid. The next step is sealing in the moisture with Oil and then applying a Cream product to close the hair cuticle which aids in preventing moisture loss.

I usually carry out method after I've washed my hair. I section my hair into four and apply a dollop of leave-in conditioner to each section and work it in, my go to leave-in conditioner at the moment is Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Conditioner. It contains, Shea butter and several other natural oils. It smells amazing and a little of this product goes a long way. Since I started using this leave in conditioner, I have noticed a large difference in my hair, it does feels moisturised and I can see more curl definition.
Liquid provides moisture. Water based leave in conditioners.
Such as:

After moisturising with leave in conditioner, I need to lock in the moisture using oils. I tend to reach for the lighter oils, like pure Argan oil.
Oils lock in moisture, such as:
Argan oil
Jamaican Black Castor oil
Coconut Oil
Jojoba Oil
Pure Shea Butter (not whipped)

The last step is using a cream, this seals in the moisture. my cream of choice is Keracare Natural Textures Butter Cream. Its not a dense heavy cream, that contains several oils to aid in hydration and promotes healthy hair growth.
